Overview
Many design brands, especially new ones, often participate in design exhibitions or trade shows domestically and internationally to increase visibility and grow their business. However, the cost of participation and travel, as well as the customized display can be a burden for brands with limited resources. This is the motivation why I designed a modular booth specifically for the art and design industry. This design features quick and easy assembly, effortless transportation, and diverse display options, allowing exhibitors to showcase their work and products easily.

Problems of exhibit displays for exhibitors
When exhibitors plan to participate in exhibits or short-term time shows, exhibitors will need to prepare tables or pedestals to show their works and products. However, making attractive displays would bring some problems for exhibitors. First, custom displays cost a fair amount of money, and exhibitors need local manufacturers' help. If exhibitors have lower budgets, they will tend to assemble their exhibit display with ready-made furniture which is not designed for exhibits. Besides, most current exhibit display systems are designed for trade shows and are not ideal for displaying styles, images, or innovations.

From a Suitcase To a 3m x 3m Display
POPUP GALLERY solves the problem when exhibitors want to show their works with attractive displays without unnecessary resource waste. It is reusable and easy for users to set up, transport, and create varied display scenarios. It can be constantly changed to fit different aesthetics and needs. Moreover, a basic set can be assembled to form a 3m x 3m display and carried with a suitcase.
POPUP GALLERY enables users to create ideal display pedestals by themselves with flexible bases, simple fixed structure, and stackable feature.
It combines with a honeycomb structure which is lightweight but strong enough and flexible to stretch to make varied sizes of bases. It can also be compressed to save space for easy storage.
The slotted feature on each base enables users easily to fix the shape by inserting connectors and make it sturdy without any glue or additional tools.
It can be stackable to fit different height requirements.

POPUP GALLERY has a compact design. A basic set can make up to 6 pedestals but can be carried with a luggage suitcase. It saves a lot of space for transport.
The basic set can be arranged to form a display in typical sizes of 3m x 3m exhibit space. Users can also purchase more sets to create a larger or unique display.
