A flexible, reusable exhibit pedestal system for easy transport and versatile setups

Many emerging design brands participate in domestic and international exhibitions to gain visibility, but travel costs and custom display setups can be a burden for those with limited resources. To address this, I designed a modular exhibition booth tailored for the art and design industry. The booth features quick assembly, easy transport, and flexible display configurations, allowing exhibitors to showcase their work efficiently while minimizing cost and logistical complexity.

Problems of Exhibit Displays for Exhibitors

When exhibitors plan to participate in exhibitions or short-term shows, they often need to prepare tables or pedestals to showcase their work and products. Creating attractive displays, however, can bring several challenges. Custom displays are costly and typically require the assistance of local manufacturers. Exhibitors with limited budgets may rely on ready-made furniture, which is not designed for exhibition purposes. Moreover, most current exhibit systems are intended for trade shows and are not ideal for presenting style, imagery, or innovative concepts.

From a Suitcase To a 3m x 3m Display

POPUP GALLERY addresses these challenges by enabling exhibitors to create compelling displays without unnecessary resource waste. The system is reusable, easy to set up and transport, and allows for a variety of display configurations. Its modular components can be assembled into a 3m × 3m exhibition space while still being compact enough to fit in a single suitcase, offering flexibility for different aesthetics and needs.

Users can create customized pedestals using flexible bases, simple fixed structures, and stackable components.

A honeycomb structure provides strength while remaining lightweight and adaptable, allowing bases to stretch into varied sizes or compress for easy storage.

Slotted features on each base allow secure assembly with connectors, eliminating the need for glue or additional tools.

The stackable design accommodates different height requirements, supporting versatile display arrangements.

How it works

Easy storage & transport aboard to different countries

POPUP GALLERY’s compact design allows a basic set to form up to six pedestals, all transportable in a single suitcase. This saves space and simplifies logistics, even for international exhibitions. Users can also expand the system with additional sets to create larger or more unique display layouts, adapting the booth to their specific exhibition needs.
