Chang Gung Memorial HospitalThis project was developed for Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, one of Taiwan’s largest comprehensive healthcare institutions. The system integrates a smartwatch interface that allows medical staff to monitor patients’ physiological data in real time and also enables patients to access their own health information.Given the strict hygiene requirements in hospital environments, the project focused on rethinking the wearable component. To reduce the risk of cross-contamination and simplify management, we proposed a low-cost and disposable watch strap solution designed specifically for clinical use.

To ensure patient safety and operational efficiency, the strap was designed as a single-use component. The material selection prioritized waterproof PVC, allowing easy cleaning and resistance during use while keeping production costs low.The structure was simplified to support quick wearing and removal, reducing handling time for medical staff. By balancing hygiene requirements, user comfort, and manufacturing efficiency, the design provides a practical solution tailored to hospital workflows.
